Annual Report about the Operation of Division 395 of the Criminal Code 1995 (Community Safety Orders)
Under section 395.49 of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Criminal Code), the Minister for Immigration is required to provide an annual report in respect to the operation of Division 395 (Community Safety Orders) of the Criminal Code during the year ending 30 June.
Mandatory participation in CVE intervention
The Department is required to report on the mandatory participation in CVE intervention programs.
Assumed identities
Under subsection 15LD(1) of the
Crimes Act 1914
, the Department is required to provide a report on the authorisations acquired and used by assumed identities.
Citizenship cessation
The Department is required to report on the cessation of Australian citizenship for dual nationals who have acted contrary to their allegiance to Australia.
Counter Terrorism Powers Annual Report
Under the Criminal Code Act 1995, Crimes Act 1914 and Counter-Terrorism (Temporary Exclusion Orders) Act 2019 the Minister for Home Affairs is required to provide a report in respect to Control Orders, Preventative Detention Orders, Continuing Detention Orders, Temporary Exclusion Orders and Powers in Relation to Terrorist Acts and Terrorism Offences.
National Cooperative Scheme on Unexplained
Wealth
Under clause 20 of Schedule 1 to the
Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
, the head of police forces participating in the National Cooperative Scheme on Unexplained Wealth must provide the Minister with an annual report on their use of information-gathering powers granted under the Scheme. The Minister must cause these reports to be tabled in Parliament within 15 sitting days of receipt.
Regional processing medical transfers
The Independent Health Advice Panel was established on 2 March 2019 by section 199A of the
Migration Act 1958
. The Panel reviews decisions for medical transfer from regional processing countries refused by the Minister on medical grounds.
Senate order on entity contracts
On 20 June 2001, the Senate made an order requiring Ministers to twice a year table contract listings from the respective preceding calendar or financial year. This Senate Order is called the Senate order on entity contracts and is also known as the Murray Motion.
Senate order on file listing
In November 1994, the Senate agreed to a motion by Senator Harradine requiring all Australian Government departments and agencies to produce an indexed list of file titles every six months for tabling before Parliament.
Witness identity protection for operatives
Under sub-section 15MU(1) of the
Crimes Act 1914
the Department is required to provide a report on witness identity protection certificates given by the chief officer during that year.
