Celebrating 20 years of Harmony celebrations

Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

This year, we mark the 20th anniversary of Harmony Day, with celebrations throughout Harmony Week from 17–23 March.

Since the first Harmony Day celebration in 1999, more than 77,000 community events have been hosted across Australia celebrating cultural diversity and promoting a connected, inclusive Australian society.

Getting involved in Harmony Week is easy. Visit the Harmony Week website to see what’s happening in your area, register your event, order promotional products and download some free resources.

You can share your stories or photos on the Department’s Facebook page using the hashtag #harmonyweek.
