Important changes to redline email document submission

The ABF have changed the way in which we communicate the request for Redline documentation.

The message has changed to: “SUBJECT TO REDLINE PROCESSING.  DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO<email address>PURSUANT TO S71DA OF THE CUSTOMS ACT”.

The <email address> will vary, depending on the ABF actioning team requesting the commercial documents.

This change has been implemented in response to Industry concerns and has been prioritised to deliver efficiencies for Industry and the ABF. Industry waiting time will be reduced by ensuring documents are sent directly to the assessing teams. Supply of documents to unrelated teams after this change may result in delays to cargo assessment.

For more information see the ICS release notes or the latest Goods Compliance Update.

Any questions regarding this change can be forwarded to GoodsCompliance@abf.gov.au.
