Settlement Peak Body organisations represent the settlement and community sectors to government. They are funded through grants for community settlement. Agreements with three Settlement Peak Bodies were established from 1 January 2019.
Peak body activities include, but are not limited to, providing advice on policy and program development, advocacy, sharing information, promoting issues on behalf of members, and best practice across the sector.
Settlement Council of Australia (SCoA)
The
Settlement Council of Australia is the national peak body representing migrant and refugee settlement agencies across Australia.
Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN)
The
Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network is the national peak body providing a nationally coordinated approach to facilitating and improving service delivery for multicultural youth through advocacy.
The Social Policy Group (SPG)
The
Social Policy Group brings together corporate Australia and the community sector to provide a national voice to advocate for effective settlement and migration programs, through facilitation of the Settlement Engagement Transition Support (SETS) Community of Practice.
