The Five Country Ministerial (FCM) is a grouping of home affairs (or equivalent) ministers from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
FCM Ministers meet in-person on an annual basis to discuss domestic national security challenges of mutual interest and consider opportunities for collaboration. Topics for conversation may include but are not limited to:
- migration and border security
- emerging technologies
- counter terrorism
- child sexual exploitation and abuse
- cyber security.
At the conclusion of each FCM meeting, Ministers agree to a number of outcomes and set out directives for the group in the year ahead. These are summarised in the FCM Communiqué and in FCM Joint Statements on specific issues of concern, which are available for review on the links below.
