Expression of Interest – Second term of the Executive Cyber Council
We have delivered all initiatives under Horizon 1 (2023-2025) of the
2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy (the Strategy) and now turn our efforts to Horizon 2. Australia faces a challenging strategic environment and threats in cyberspace are growing more complex and unpredictable. Domestic and overseas cyber threat actors continue to attack:
- Australian citizens
- small-to-medium businesses
- critical infrastructure
- government.
Emerging technologies advance the capabilities of malicious cyber actors and these attacks are accelerating.
We invite corporate entities and cyber security experts to express interest in joining the Executive Cyber Council. The Council will play a pivotal role in shaping Australia’s strategic approach to cyber resilience. It will allow collaboration between government and industry, driving our efforts under Horizon 2 of the Strategy. Learn more about the

The Expression of Interest process will close on 14 February 2026. We will contact successful applicants directly. There is limited space on the council but we may invite unsuccessful applicants to join one of it’s working groups.
