Cyber and Infrastructure Security

Critical infrastructure delivering essential services is vital to Australia’s prosperity and security. There are ongoing threats to the security of critical infrastructure around the globe. These may take the form of:

  • cyber security attacks
  • trusted insiders
  • malicious disruptions to supply chains, and
  • attacks to physical infrastructure.

Within the Department of Home Affairs, the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre drives an all-hazards critical infrastructure regime. This is in partnership with governments, industry and the broader community. The Centre actively assists critical infrastructure owners and operators to understand these risks. It also supports them to meet their regulatory requirements. This is for the shared benefit of all Australians.
