Overview
The Department of Home Affairs is undertaking a review of the Training (subclass 407) visa program. This is in response to recommendations made by the New South Wales Deputy Coroner following the death of Mr Jerwin Royupa in 2019.
The review will also consider broader recommendations applicable across Temporary visa programs where migrant workers are at a risk of exploitation.
A final report will be provided to the Minister of Home Affairs by 1 June 2026.
