Two (2) I determined that one individual ceased to be an Australian citizen under section 36B as:
  • they had likely engaged in foreign incursions by entering or remaining in a declared area; and
  • I was satisfied that the person's conduct demonstrated that the person has repudiated their allegiance to Australia; and
  • I was satisfied that it would be contrary to the public interest for the person to remain an Australian citizen; and
  • I was satisfied that the person would not become a person who is not a national or citizen of any country as a result of the determination to cease their Australian citizenship.

I determined that another individual ceased to be an Australian citizen under section 36B as:

  • they had likely engaged in terrorist acts and foreign incursions; and
  • I was satisfied that the person's conduct demonstrated that the person has repudiated their allegiance to Australia; and
  • I was satisfied that it would be contrary to the public interest for the person to remain an Australian citizen; and
  • I was satisfied that the person would not become a person who is not a national or citizen of any country as a result of the determination to cease their Australian citizenship.
