The Australian Government has made the temporary humanitarian visa pathway available for Palestinian and Israeli nationals who are currently in Australia and who cannot return to their home in Occupied Palestinian Territories or Israel because of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The temporary humanitarian visa pathway is a two step process. This involves applying for a subclass 449 Humanitarian Stay (Temporary) visa, then a subclass 786 Temporary (Humanitarian Concern) visa. The 786 visa will be granted for three years. This form is to express interest only. It is not a visa application form.
You must meet all following eligibility criteria to be considered for an offer of temporary humanitarian stay:
- You must be a Palestinian national or Israeli national.
- You must be in Australia on a temporary visa.
- You cannot return to your usual place of residence.
