Corporate plans

The Corporate Plan is the Department of Home Affairs and Australian Border Force’s primary planning document and sets out our purpose, priorities and performance measures for the years ahead. The Corporate Plan establishes how we intend to evaluate our performance over a horizon of up to four years and aligns to the programs contained within the annual portfolio budget statements (PBS).

Corporate Plans are a legislative requirement under section 35 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act). Our Corporate Plan, alongside our Annual Performance Statement, effectively measure, report on and guide the Department’s activities and give effect to the Enhanced Commonwealth Performance Framework.

As independent entities under the PGPA Act, the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, Australian Institute of Criminology, Australian Federal Police, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation and Australian Transactions Reports and Analysis Centre produce individual Corporate Plans.

The Department’s current and previous iterations of the Corporate Plan can be found at:

Home Affairs Portfolio corporate plans

As independent entities under the PGPA Act, agencies within the Home Affairs Portfolio maintain individual corporate plans. These can be found on the websites for the following agencies:
