Our offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi manage visa and citizenship services for clients in Vietnam.

Both offices have a Service Delivery Partner (SDP) agreement with VFS Global to provide Australian visa application and biometric collection services in Vietnam through Australian Visa Application Centres. ​

Credit Card​

Payments using credit card will be processed in Australian dollars (AUD). We accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, Diners and JCB. When paying by a credit card you may incur a credit card surcharge, banking and currency conversion fees and you will need to accept the risk associated with any currency fluctuations.​​​​​

Prior to lodging your application, you may need to notify your bank of an upcoming foreign credit card transaction. Failure to do so may result in your transaction being declined. Without payment your application is invalid.

Credit card transactions processed in Australian dollars (AUD) are processed in Australia.​​​​​ A credit card surcharge may apply to transactions made using your credit card.

For credit card payments use the Payment Details Form - 1440​.​​​​​

Applications for Citizenship by Descent are processed at this office.

Applications for Australian citizenship general eligibility and other situations, and applications to resume or renounce (give up) Australian citizenship should be lodged at the Canberra Visa and Citizenship office in Australian Capital Territory.

Additional information

Applicants/Sponsors should provide a Judicial Record Certificate Number Two (Phieu Ly Lich Tu Phap So 2) for Australian visa applications.

The Justice Department or NCCR provide the standard Judicial Record Certificate Application Form (Tờ khai yêu cầu cấp Phiếu lý lịch tư pháp) free of charge. Only the Vietnamese form will be accepted by the Department, the links to the English websites are for reference only. The Department will not accept a Judicial Record Certificate Number One for Australian visa applications.

Applications for a Judicial Record Certificate Number Two must be submitted in person or by mail. No authorization to a third person/party is permitted.

Below are general guidelines for obtaining a Judicial Record Certificate Number Two.

Resident citizens (in Vietnam):

Complete the standard application form and apply in person, or by mail, at the Service of Justice office in your local province where you are permanently registered or the province in which you most recently lived. Instructions are available on the Provincial Service of Justice website.

Documents required:

  • Standard application form (Tờ khai yêu cầu cấp Phiếu lý lịch tư pháp)
  • Certified copy of Vietnamese National Identity Card
  • Certified copy of Household Registration Book

Note: The application form may be completed online but must be printed and submitted in person or by mail.

Non-resident citizens (outside Vietnam):

If the applicant can provide evidence of previous records (e.g. registration of their household registration book), the application procedure is the same as the one applied for Vietnamese citizens in Vietnam (see Resident Citizens, above).

If the applicant cannot provide evidence of previous temporary or permanent residence in Vietnam, the application procedure is the same as that for non-resident non-citizens (see Non-Resident Non-Citizens section, below.

Resident non-citizens (in Vietnam):

Complete the standard application form and apply in person, or by mail, at the Service of Justice office in your local province or the province in which you most recently lived. Instructions are available on the Provincial Service of Justice website.

Documents required:

  • Standard application form (Tờ khai yêu cầu cấp Phiếu lý lịch tư pháp)
  • Certified copy of passport
  • Certified copy of permanent/temporary Vietnamese Residence Identity Card

Non-resident non-citizens (outside Vietnam):

Apply directly by mail (or in person) to the National Centre for Criminal Records in Vietnam.

  • Certified copy of passport
