​There is no Australian diplomatic mission in the Slovak Republic. Our office in Berlin, Germany, manages visa and citizenship services for clients in the Slovak Republic.

Note: Slovak nationals can apply online for most Australian visas and citizenship through ImmiAccount. This is the preferred and most efficient way to apply. Any paper applications (where applicable) should be sent to the Australian Embassy, Berlin.

This office provides visa and immigration services for clients in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faeroe Islands, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City.

Payment information

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Online payment is the preferred payment method. If you are lodging an online application, payment is made when you submit the application.

If you are lodging a paper application, you can login to ImmiAccount, select My Payments from the Manage Payments section, then select Pre-Pay Paper Service. After you have made your payment, record the receipt number on your application and include a copy of your receipt.

Citizenship by descent, citizenship by conferral and applications for evidence of citizenship can be lodged online through ImmiAccount.

Applications for citizenship by descent are processed at the Australian High Commission London.​​

​Applications to resume or renounce (give up) Australian citizenship should be sent to the Australian address on the form.​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​

Relevant document: ‘Police Certificate’ (Vypis z Registra Trestov). The application form is also available at Register Trestov GP SR, or at your local prosecutor’s office.
Residents: Apply in person or through an authorised representative to the Public Prosecutor’s office (Register Trestov GP SR). See website for location of public prosecution offices and for instructions.
Residents provide: Application form, Slovak ID or birth certificate. If you are a foreign national, you must also present your original passport and a certified translation of your birth certificate.
Non-residents: Apply to the nearest Slovak diplomatic mission in person, or by post to the address above.
Non-residents provide: Application form, original passport and a certified translation of your birth certificate.
Fee: Payable.
Processing time: One to three days if your application is lodged in the Slovak Republic.
