The Community Language Schools Grants Program strengthens Australia’s social inclusion by supporting young Australians to learn or maintain a language other than English.
The Program is helping more than 90,000 students learn 84 languages in over 600 community language schools across Australia.
The grants enable young Australians to:
- connect to the languages of their parents, grandparents and broader communities
- participate in a broader range of jobs in an economy closely linked to a diverse global market
- strengthen the social inclusion and prosperity of Australia’s successful multicultural society.
