This visa office provides immigration and visa services to clients in Egypt and five other African countries including: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia.

Biometrics collection

Clients in Algeria and Egypt

Biometrics are collected in Algeria and Egypt as part of the visa application process.

Visa applicants in Algeria or Egypt, regardless of nationality, could be required to attend an Australian Biometric Collection Centre (ABCC) in person to provide their biometrics. A 10-digit fingerprint scan and a digital facial photograph will be collected. Paper-based visa applications should continue to be lodged at the Australian Embassy Cairo. Applicants will be notified in writing of the requirement to attend the ABCC in either Algeria or Cairo to provide their biometrics.

Visa applicants should register, make an appointment and make payment for the biometric enrolment as per the instructions provided on the Teleperformance website prior to attending the ABCC.

Note: Resident Return and Citizenship by Descent applicants do not need to provide biometrics.
